Until now, my work has been based on verbal expressions like poetry. With this new piece, I attempted to transform the very experiences that form the basis of that language into art itself. The view from the bullet train is nothing special, devoid of meaning, merely passing through nameless towns. During that time, I am inexplicably overcome by poetic sentiment and end up writing poetry. This was a mirror reflecting myself.The Shinkansen window frame was created by first generating 3D data and then printing it. A relatively high-resolution LED display was installed on the back, projecting footage of actual scenery recorded from the Shinkansen window, edited to play at five times the normal speed.

今まで詩作などの言語化をもとに制作をおこなってきたが、この新作ではその言語の元となる経験、それ自体を作品化する試みを行った。新幹線からの景色はただ何でもなく、意味もなく、名前の知らない街を通り抜けるのみだ。その時間、私は無性に詩的な感傷に襲われ、詩を書いてしまう。これは自分を見返す鏡であった。新幹線の窓枠は3D データを制作してからプリンターで出力して制作した。裏側に解像度の比較的高いLED ディスプレイを設置して、実際に新幹線の車窓からの風景の記録動画を5 倍速に編集して投影した。
