This work is a text-based video installation utilizing the space of a Shinkansen train and two monitors. These monitors rotate to switch from horizontal to vertical writing. At the beginning, text identical to an actual bulletin board scrolls by. Two individuals—a woman on the left and a man on the right—pass each other at the same moment, boarding Shinkansen trains heading in opposite directions. They encounter each other through poetry and song (tanka), but ultimately choose to “run away” from their talents, the hardships of creation, and the missed connections of their romance. This narrative stems from the artist's own struggles as someone who works with poetry and words, and reflects on the distance between the themes of the work and its experimental subjects.

この作品は新幹線の空間と2 つモニターを用いたテキスト形式の映像作品です。このモニターは横書きから縦書きに変わるために回転します。冒頭、実際の掲示板と同じ内容の文字が流れ、二人の男女( 左が女、右が男) が同じ時刻にお互い別方向の新幹線に乗ってすれ違います。彼らは互いに詩と歌( 短歌) をきっかけに出会いますが、才能や創作への苦難、恋愛のすれ違いから「逃げる」選択肢を選びます。この話は作家自身の詩や言葉を扱う人間としての葛藤、作品のテーマと実験体との距離感についての考えが元になっています。
